MitID: your digital identity in Denmark
What MitID is
MitID is Denmark’s national digital identity solution. It is used to access public self-service, banks and many private services. You should only activate MitID through official channels and never share approval codes or credentials.
Getting started
Your route depends on your identification documents and registration status. Some users can complete identification digitally, while others may need Citizen Service. Check the current official requirements before you start.
Security
Use only the official MitID app and website. FranskDansk will never ask for your MitID password, activation code or approval of an unexpected transaction.
